The Story Behind The 3C's

THE FOCUS:

Active, happy living. The possibilities are endless.

WHY I CREATED 3C's:

To tell the truth, I think I'm a little A.D.D. but in today's world who isn't? The wheels are constantly turning in my head. Coffee Convo & Cardio is my place to share the little sparks of inspiration and interests I find in everyday life.

MY STORY:

Growing up I was very active. I played soccer, danced, and loved being outside. My mom was a dietician so I always had balanced healthy meals. Having known nothing else, I didn't realize how lucky I was to have mom that paid such close attention to nutrition. Between the sports and nutrition I was living a healthy lifestyle without even realizing it.

When I started college and began feeding myself it was lots of ramen noodles, hot pockets, and pizza. I had no idea the effect that unhealthy food would have on my overall being. I was much more sluggish, and obviously I put on a few pounds. (I'm 5'0 so a few pounds it noticeable). I realized I was entering a slippery slope so I started jogging pretty religiously.

My sophomore year we moved out of the dorm into a house where we could cook and store groceries. My mom introduced me to a book called Cinch [[will post more on this later but if you ever happen to see it check it out]] which got me back in balance and excited to eat healthy.  I continued to jog and also started yogalates.

My interest in health and fitness started out as just wanting to drop a few pounds, but as I began to pay attention to moving and nourishing my body I became very passionate about it. Currently I am a senior at LSU and a group Fitness instructor at TreadBR. Tread features high impact interval classes with treadmill based cardio and strength and core floor work. I couldn't ask for a better job. I am challenged everyday to learn, grow and live an active lifestyle.
